Yum Yum Pizza Soup

This is one of my all time favorites!! Love this one... Hope you enjoy it!

Pizza Soup

1 1/4 cups of chopped mushrooms
1/2 c diced green bell pepper
1/2 c diced red bell pepper
1/2 c diced onion
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 tsp olive oil
2 cups water
1 cup diced pepperoni
1 cup cooked Italian Sausage
1/4 tsp Italian Seasonings
1 can pizza sauce (15 oz)
1/4 c Parmesan Cheese

Saute mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper in oil for 4-5 min or until tender. Add water, pizza sauce, pepperoni, sausage, tomatoes, and Italian seasonings. Bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce Heat. Cover and simmer for 20 min. Stir in Parmesan cheese and top with mozzarella. Serve with garlic toast.
Shredded Mozzarella. Serve with a small salad and some garlic bread and it's a complete meal with lots of veggies!! ( you can even throw the veggies in a food processor so they are very fine and the kids will never know ;) )

Cage of Love.... Great wedding shower gift

I hosted an office wedding shower and this bird cage was a huge hit! I
bought the bird cage at a local retailer, stuffed the bottom with one
sheet of tissue paper and placed a bow on it. Then everyone stuffed it
with money and gift cards. The bride loved it!

Take Me Out to the Ballpark

A good friend of mine is going to be a grandma again and asked for a baseball themed diaper cake.Well you can't have baseball without peanuts and cracker jacks right? I think this is my favorite diaper cake so far! It was completely last minute and I did this in record time of only 2 hours! I did layer the diapers instead of rolling them individually (which i might add is very hard to do with only 2 hands lol) which helped a lot with the time issue but doesn't allow the layers to be as sturdy. I promise the next diaper cake I do I'm gonna do a tutorial for you guys. I just get in the creative zone and forget to take pics of the process. Can't wait to see what you guys think!

Miss A's Bakery Birthday

My little jellybean finally turned 4!  We celebrated the oh-so special occasion with a BAKERY BIRTHDAY!!!  A few of my friends came over to help set up and totally saved the day (thanks girls).  I literally was still baking "bakery" goods while guests were arriving.  I don't know what I would've done without their help.  It was pure chaos, but we loved every minute of it!  Click on "READ MORE" below to see the full post.  Sooo without further delay, I present Miss A's Bakery Birthday.......

Loaded Baked Potato Soup

So I have to admit, my absolute favorite food is SOUP. Doesn't matter what kind... I love all kinds of soup! But i'm not talking about the stuff out of the can people... it's gotta be the good stuff, the homemade stuff. So here is one of my favorites. It's mmmmm hmmm good!!

Loaded Baked Potato Soup

4 large baking potatoes
2/3 c butter
2/3 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper (i've used black pepper and it's fine too)
6 cups milk
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup slice green onions
1 pkg bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Bake potatoes at 350 for 65-75 minutes or until tender; cool completely. Peel and cube potatoes.

In a large pot, melt butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper and make a rue. Stir until smooth. Add milk slowly and mix with whisk. Bring to a boil and stir until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and cheese and bacon. Add the potatoes and green onions. Should make about 10 servings.

I love to serve this with Club Sandwiches or Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches. I've done this a couple of times for girls night and it's been a big success. Happy Cooking!

Taco Soup

Well Old Man Winter has finally made his bitter appearance and I must admit.... HE IS NOT WELCOME! But since the old fart insists on staying I thought I would share one of my absolute favorite recipes to keep ya warmed up. I get compliments every time I make this and it is oh so easy. If you can open a can you can make this one and guess what? It's healthy!!

Taco Soup

1 pound hamburger or ground turkey
2 cans corn
2 cans orignal rotel
1 can black beans
1 can ranch style beans
3 sm cans diced green chilies
1 pkg taco seasoninng
1 pkg ranch dip mix

Brown hamburger in pot. I season with sea salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Then add corn, beans, rotel and green chilies. ( DO NOT DRAIN CANS). Mix together. Then add taco seasoning and ranch dip mix. Bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes. Can top with Shredded cheese and sour cream if desired.Serve with cornbread or tortilla chips.

It's yummy and one of my favorites.

Happy Cooking!

Juniper & Tacos

Well hello there! This is the first time I've had a chance to log in and post anything to our fabulous blog that Lynse has been working so hard on. AND I pray that by doing this I'm not screwing up any of her hard work. More than likely I am, so Lyns... I'm sorry. We are very new to this blogging business so you people are just gonna have to bare with us while we figure all this nonsense out.

So if you haven't figured it out yet... I'm Jessica, the Juniper to Jellybeans & Juniper. Why Juniper?

Exhaustion...

I AM EXHAUSTED!!!  I have been working on this stinkin' blog all day!  I know it gets easier, but it sure is frustrating!  I never knew how to "edit codes".  All I could think about while I was "editing codes" for the blog was the movie 'The Network'.  If you've seen it then you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.  Hehe!  Anywho, I just made my new signature line, soooo I thought I would share :)

New Kids On The Blog....

Hello, Hello!  First off, we need to thank all of the SUPER AWESOME craft blogs we have been stalking.  They have been the main reason that we decided to start blogging our own creative ideas!  We have gotten a ton of amazing ideas from everyone else, so we thought it was only fair to let others use ours in return.  Since we are brand spankin new to the blog block, bare with us while we work to make it cutesy.  With that said, here's a little about us...  Our names are Lynse' and Jessica.  We are total DIY soul mates and a danger to any craft store :)  We went to the hobbs (hobby lobby) the other night, and I think we ended up staying ummm....3 hours!  There's just something about that store that's addicting, isn't there?  I (Lynse') am a chatty kathy.  I feel sorry for the hubs sometimes!  Speaking of hubs, I have an amazing husband and two remarkable kiddo's.  I am truly blessed with the best family and friends a girl could ask for.  Life is good!!  Now onto Jess, or as my kids call her, Mama Jess.  I have to brag on her since she's not writing this blog, AND she can't tell me not too :)  Jess is an INCREDIBLE cook!  You name it, she can make it.  She will be posting some of her yummo recipes, so make sure you visit often to get them for yourself.  Like me, she also has two children, Daisy (Lab) and Henry (cocker spaniel mix).  She's a person who always gives more than she receives, and is just one of those friends that are hard to find.  Make sure you read our "about me" section so you can get to know us even better.  Come back often, we don't mind if you stalk our blog like we do yours ;)  We promise to keep if funky, fresh, and always entertaining!!  Much love and many blessings.
